Nochongoloko are busy again

We have uncovered plots by detractors and desperate opposition elements in the State to flood the streets of Abia and the social media, with fake campaign materials for 2023 Presidential elections under the banner of APC, purporting same to belong to the Governor of Abia State, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, and to also have come from his camp.

Nothing can be further from the truth!

We know that this is just another puerile plot by agents of mischief and malice to distract Governor Okezie Ikpeazu at a time his public profile has received massive boost to the chagrin of these opposition elements due to the many projects he has recently commissioned and many more ongoing in the length and breadth of the State. We are also aware that the plot is meant to unsettle the PDP in Abia State seeing the expansive campaign structures and activities the party has put up for its candidates in preparation for the forthcoming local government elections. With such intimidating campaign outlay, we are not surprised that enemies of the people have become jittery and have resorted to blackmailing the Governor with fake presidential campaign posters which are nothing but a product of the figment of their illusory imagination.

We hereby call on all Abians in particular, and Nigerians in general, to be wary of these purveyors of falsehood and harbingers of calumny, ignore their antics and treat them with the opprobrium that they truly deserve.

For the avoidance of doubt, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu is totally and fully committed to the success of all PDP candidates at the forthcoming December 18 LG elections as he personally attended the party’s recent rally where he not only handed the party flag to the candidates but also vigorously campaigned for them.

He is also committed to the timely completion of all ongoing massive construction works in different parts of the State, and no amount of blackmail or calumny will stop him from his avowed commitment to continue to provide dividends of democracy to Abians.
