The Governor of Cross River State Prof Ben Ayade have joined the All progressive Congress APC, the Governor made this announcement during a closed door meeting with the leadership of APC in Calabar the Cross River State capital.
This is coming after the Governor complained of loosing the state party structure to national Assembly members in the state, according to the Governor a complain he took to the party national working committee and the critical stakeholders of the party, in his request he demanded that the party Congress that produced the state working committee be cancelled while a fresh Congress to be conducted.
His defection is coming after the visit of top PDP Governors, who came to convince him to stick to the party.
Governor’s from APC who came for the defection dinner includes, Hope Uzodinma of imo state, Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti state, Mala Buni who doubles as the caretaker committee chairman of the party, Hon Timipre Sylva Minister for state for petroleum and others.
