The Program Manager Agricultural Development Program ADP Chief Israel Amanze has stressed the need for the relevant stakeholders in Isiala Ngwa South to key into Agricultural activities to grow their economy.

The Agricultural Expert stated this today in Aba while delivering a speech to mark the Maiden Isiala Ngwa South Economic Summit tagged: Discovering The Economic Potentials of Our People.

Chief Amanze emphasized on the capability of Agriculture to develop Isiala Ngwa South and said that currently Abia State Agricultural Development Program ADP have done tremendously well in training and equipping the farmers in Isiala Ngwa South and other Local Government Areas. Chief Amanze informed the eager audience that Abia ADP is partnering with an Agency of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to establish a modern integrated Cassava Processing Plant in Isiala Ngwa South and that the work has commenced.
He informed the audience that the Agricultural Development Program partnered with the Central Bank of Nigeria to give thousands of Abia farmers Anchor Borrowers loan which Isiala Ngwa South was a major beneficiary. The ADP on behalf of the Abia State Government is also partnering with the CBN to establish 3000 Hectares of Mechanized Cassava farm to feed the industry and 1000 Hectares of the farms will be located in Isiala Ngwa North and South. He urged the LGA chairman to workout a system to protect Local farmers from the exploitation of Township women Farm produce buyers who come everyday to gang up and exploit our farmers.
Chief Amanze congratulated Chief Ik Anyatonwu and the Organizers for having the foresight to organize such a very successful summit.
The Summit attracted the presence of Member Representing Isiala Ngwa North and South Federal Constituency Rt. Hon. Darlington Nwokocha, Dr Obinnaya C. Uruakpa, Chief Chinatu Njoku, Prof. Nji, Prof Ogbonna and host of streamed live on the social media.
