In a way to get back at Senator ORJI Uzor Kalu for voting against Electronic transmission of results, Nigerians today vetted their anger on the Facebook handle of Senator ORJI Uzor Kalu over his statement during the passage of the electoral act 2021 by the National Assembly. This came barely two hours after the Senator through his official Facebook handle announced a new scholarship scheme through his foundation for 50 students to study medicine in Venezuela.

It could be recalled that the senator during the Senate plenary stated that he voted against electronic transmission of election results because there is no network at Igbere, where he comes from.

On announcing the scholarship scheme, Nigerian youths in retaliation started with comments like ” there is no network in Venezuela”

Another one said “I am at Igbere, we don’t have network how do I apply?”

“No Network in Venezuela!!!”

“Are you sure there’s network in Venezuela.”

“Venezuela geh Network??”

“How can I register when I don’t have network in my village”

Some commended him on the move and said ” Why Venezuela? we have Universities here that are better than Venezuelan universities.
