Today all over the globe has been set aside to celebrate our youths and this date was set aside by world conference of Minsters responsible for youths, it has always been a day to show how much you’re loved and needed for an efficient running of the system.

This year’s celebration is quite outstanding in our state, Abia state, owing to the immense contribution of our *Governor, Okezie Victor Ikpeazu(PhD)* who since his assumption as the Governor of Abia state has ensured that our youths are involved in all sectors of his leadership, this has reflected in his series of appointments.

Furthermore he has initiated and attracted projects that has impacted positively in the lives of our youths which has curbed youth restiveness, acquisition of different skills and reduced the unemployment rate in our state, this projects include:

*Enyimba automated shoe factory.*
*Polutry cluster umuosu isiala ngwa North.*
*6 cottage industries in 6 LGA’s in Abia.*
*Garment factory*
*Social investment programs etc.*

Moreso, it is important to advise our youths to participate fully in the current PDP E- registration which would fortify our great party to take over power at the national level, we have been resilient as a people to be an opposition party in this perilous time we have all found ourselves, I want to assure you all that the current PDP EXCO ably led by *Rt. Hon. Asiforo Okere(PhD)* in our state are making frantic efforts to ensure our youths are continually taken care of and advocating for continuous youthful participation in governance.

Finally, I want to advise our youths to desist from indulgence in drug abuse and other social vices which would serve as an inhibition to your participation or inclusion in the governance of our dear state, *Abia bu Nke anyi* , wish you all a happy International youth day celebration.

*Hon. Patrick Onwuka*
*( State PDP youth leader)*
