The prosecution team entered the court room unhindered but the defendant’s team, the Ohanaeze team passed through several checkpoints before getting to the foyer in front of the court of trying MNK. Presently, we are awaiting the clearance of the judge before we are allowed in.
The prosecution is already sited in court.

OHANAEZE NDIGBO WORLDWIDE (YOUTH WING),is alarmed by yet another show of shame on the part of the Federal Government before the world today at the federal high court. Abuja.
For the avoidance of doubt, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is a bonafide citizen of this country, and is fully entitled to fair hearing. We are miffed by this crass media trial, even when the only crime known to be committed by our son, is his perspective as an IGBO MAN.
The law is simple and unambiguous on criminal procedure.
Under the Nigerian criminal justice the constitutional right of an accused person is enshrined in Section 35 and 36 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 such rights include, the right to be informed promptly in the language that he understands, the details and nature of the offence of the accused, the right to be given adequate time to prepare his defence, “the right to defend himself in person or by legal practitioner of his own choice”,etc.
It is an affront and a collective slap to subject”only” the legal representative of NDIGBO to several”state sponsored”checkpoints, while the prosecuting team were given”VIP”pass.
It is highly regrettably annoying to the IGBO YOUTHS worldwide, to watch our elders suffer undue humiliations in a country our forebearers sacrificed their lives and resources to bind together.
We believe it is in the best interest of EQUITY, JUSTICE AND FAIR PLAY, that we unequivocally demand the unconditional release of our beloved brother and son, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
WE CANNOT ACCEPT THIS CHARADE AS A JUDICIAL TRIAL! JUSTICE DELAYED,IS JUSTICE DENIED!
