The President General Mben political Assembly Chief Eme Uche has solicited for all the political players in the state to rally round Abia North to produce the next Governor of Abia state after Gov Ikpeazu.
Chief Eme who spoke this morning on the program “the platform on Flo fm 94.9″ urged the stakeholders in the state to rally round and support power returning to Abia north.
He noted that one of the ways to maintain peace and security in the society is through fair sharing and equitable justice.
He urged political parties in the state to zone their tickets to Abia North as a mark of respect to the Abia charter of Equity which saw power moved from Abia North to Central and now in the South.
On the issue of micro zoning, where power should go in Abia North with the agitation of Isuikwuato Umunneochi laying claims to the Governorship seat, he said ” there are five local government areas in Abia North, Bende, Arochukwu, Isuikwuato, Umunneochi and Ohafia; Ohafia has supported other LGAs in Abia North all through the years, including Senator Uchechukwu Mereije when he went to the Senate for 12 years, Dr Orji Uzor Kalu when he was the Governor for 8 years and we believe that it is the turn of Ohafia and we have men and women who can occupy the position”.
