We are  Strongly United Behind Gov Ikpeazu in PDP – Isiala Ngwa North PDP stakeholder

.. Insist on zoning the Governorship to Umunneato.

This was the message passed by the Stakeholders of PDP of Isiala Ngwa North LGA on Sunday January 30th during their meeting at the home of Rt Hon C.O Enweremadu. Addressing the gathering the Local Government PDP Chairman Elder Sam Esindu thanked the friends and appointees of the Governor from the Local Government who have consistently showed love and support for the members of the party in the local government. He assured the members that the party’s faithfuls are intact and united in their support for the Governor.

The meeting adopted the position of the Umunneato clan to request that the next Governor of Abia State be zoned to the 3 local government ls of Umenneato.

In his remarks Rt Hon C.O Enweremadu thanked the party members for being steadfast behind the Governor. He maintained that the Governor is desirous of leaving behind outstanding legacies in the state in general and in Isiala Ngwa North LGA in particular. He said that the Friends and appointees of the Governor have agreed to come together as a unit to always support the welfare of the party executives and members as a way of appreciating them for their consistency and commitment to the growth of the party.

Speaking in the same vein other leaders including Chief Okey Ahiwe, Chief Uzo Ihuka, Mr Chinenye Nwaogu, Prof Uche Ikonne, expressed appreciation to the party members for their unalloyed loyalty to the party. They harped on the need for unity amongst party members.

Speaking as an observer during the meeting, the Honourable Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Dr Eze Chikamnayo said that Isiala Ngwa North LGA is leading by example in mobilising party members. He thanked them for their huge and unprecedented support for the Governor who has changed the developmental narrative in the state.

The meeting ended with the announcement of a donation of 5.7million Naira from the friends and appointees of the Governor to the Stakeholders, Local Government Party Executives, Ward Party Executives, Elected Councilors and other organs of the party in the local government.

They said the enssence of the donation is to keep the party alive across the local government.

Responding the leader of the council, party LGA Woman Leader Mrs Ikonne, a major Stakeholder thanked those who donated to the funds for keeping the party alive and kicking across the local government.

The meeting is billed to hold monthly in the build up to the 2023 General election.
