The Women Guild of the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria, Ossah Mission, Umuahia in Abia State has bestowed her Women Guild Distinguished Personality Award on the Founder/President of IOK Educational Foundation and the Arochukwu State Constituency House of Assembly Aspirant, Prince Ike Okorafor during her 2022 Mothering Day Celebration of the Women held at the church on Sunday 13th March 2022.
The Women Guild said Prince Ike Okorafor was carefully selected to be honoured in recognition of his outstanding humanitarian services, dedication to the service of God, and the society at large, emphasising his humility, openness, accomodating lifestyle as a phenomenon that has set him apart among equals.
They noted that Prince Ike Okorafor has under the auspices of his foundation, IOK Educational Foundation embarked on numerous impactful projects for the less privileged and especially the women whom he has empowered and trained to better their lots. They encouraged him to hold unto his people-oriented gestures for the betterment of society as God who sees the heart of men will never stop rewarding every good deed on earth.
The Minister in charge of the Mission, Rev. Paul Oru while presenting the award to Prince Ike Okorafor, through his representative, Miss Benita Obiageri, extolled the leadership and visionary qualities of Prince Ike Okorafor, describing him as a man whose, human empowerment, magnanimity and philanthropic gestures has reverberated across Abam community and beyond.
While praying to God to bless, protect and grant him success in his future life endeavours and political ambitions, the revered clergyman urged him never to relent in his strive to bring succour and development to his community.
Responding, Prince Ike Okorafor expressed his deep gratitude for the honour and recognition, reiterated his commitment to keep bringing development and embark on projects that will impact society positively.
He later supported the excited women with cash donations in furtherance of the work of God and encouraged them to remain pillars of the family and true ambassadors of Christ on earth by always standing in the gap for their husbands, families and the entire family as God had, after creation, despited FAVOUR in women to bless everyone else around them at all times.
Music, dances, merriment and the joyous atmosphere were the highlights of the well attended Church programme.
