Immediate past National Organizing Secretary of PDP and for Minister of defense under President Goodluck Jonathan colonel Augustine Akobundu have declared his interest to represent the good people of Abia centra Senatorial district in the red chamber.
Colonel Akobundu who informed his immediate ward Oloko Ward 1, and also informed Oloko Ward 2 including Ikwuano Stakeholders of his interest to vie for the Abia Central Senatorial district seat in 2023 election.
He said. “I am aspiring to go to the Senate to take over from the incumbent, Sen. T A Orji whom, he said, has done well “with projects scattered all over the Senatorial district”, I want to use the platform to drive development and to spread democracy within the six LGAs of the Senatorial district and build on what he, Sen. TA Orji has done. I am his son in this business and in life, it is the wish of every father that his son should surpass him”.
