As the 2023 election is drawing near with interested aspirants jostling to represent their people in various elective positions, especially in Umunneochi State Constituency, it’s time for the people of Umunneochi to look out for an aspirant with an authentic personality, capacity and competence to change the narratives in the annals of the history of representation in the Constituency.
The fact remains that the Umunneochi people have found a true representative, a visionary and intellectual voice that can sponsor bills and motions that will further develop the Constituency and the State at large.
That UMUNNEOCHI RIGHT CHOICE remains CHIEF Ebere Nwankwo, ESQ ( NWACHINEMERE 1 OF ORU LOKPAUKWU AUTONOMOUS COMMUNITY IN UMUNNEOCHI LGA, ABIA STATE).
Chief Ebere Nwankwo has the wherewithal to restore discipline and dignity in the polity.
Also, given the magnitude of the representation gap that needs to be closed in Umunneochi State Constituency, Chief Ebere Umunneochi plans to fully legislate and include in his oversight functions, an active local capacity for wealth creation through the efficient investment of the resources within his ambit as well as improving the rural roads of his constituency to enhance the performance of his people whose major occupation is farming.
Chief Nwankwo also plans to embark on empowerment programs for the youths, to make them self reliant and independent, while ensuring that his people experience vast infrastructural developments- roads, electricity, water etc.
More so, Chief Ebere Nwankwo intends to establish, through an Act of Legislation, the commercial production and utilisation of Quarry sites in Umunneochi that will create more employment opportunities and improve the revenue generation of the Local Government and the State in general.
Chief Ebere Nwankwo is ready to run an all-inclusive government by partnering with the 21st Century Western Technology in improving the Educational system in Umunneochi by creating access to quality education and a serene environment that will enhance academic learning. Food and health care which is critical to the survival of the people in his constituency will be standardized while the people will have access to quality health care delivery.
It is clear that by dint of hardwork and entrepreneurship spirit, Chief Ebere Nwankwo has attained significant financial success and so will not be carried away by the perks of the office and the temptation to begin to amass more wealth from the resources. He has the character required for the responsibilities of representing the Umunneochi State Constituency at the Abia State House of Assembly with unblemished integrity in the private and public sectors.
While the office commands confidence, the people of Umunneochi should be very careful in choosing their preferred representative as Chief Ebere Nwankwo has chosen to step up his pedigree of service to his people, and only his innate desire to serve selflessly could have prompted him, to declare his intention to represent Umunneochi in Abia State House of Assembly come 2023.
Even while he hasn’t occupied any elective position, Chief Ebere Nwankwo has already attracted a Customary Court in his community, which was described as the first presence of the government ever felt by the community. In addition, many have benefitted from his philanthropic gestures and goodwill as many students are beneficiaries of his bursary, while he has continued to provide succour to the indigent ones and the needy; which is a rare character.
It is therefore expedient that the people of Umunneochi should rally round this man of the people and a jolly good fellow, Chief Ebere Nwankwo who is more competent, dedicated, selfless, skilled, knowledgeable and determined to represent his people effectively.
