According to sources inside the Nigeria football Federation, Five coaches has been shortlisted for the position of the super Eagles coach,

the five Foreign coaches are from the European part of the world and are top grade A football coaches.

They are.

Philip Cocu
  1. Philip Cocu: Phillip John William Cocu is a Dutch professional football manager and former player who was most recently the manager of Championship club Derby County. Cocu was born in Eindhoven but raised in Zevenaar, playing youth football for local clubs DCS and De Graafschap. He played for the Netherland national team between the period of 1996 to 2006 making 101 appearance. He was the assistant coach of the Netherlands 2008 and coached of PSV from 2009 as an assistant coach and rised to the first team coach in 2012 and left in 2018, coached Fenerbache in 2018 and joined Derby in 2019.
José Peseiro

2. José Peseiro: José Vítor dos Santos Peseiro is a Portuguese football manager and former player who played as a forward. After an unassuming career as a player, he went on to coach several clubs in his country, including Sporting CP – which he took to the 2005 UEFA Cup Final– and Porto, he also coached Al Ahly of Egypt, Assistant coach at Real Madrid, Sporting Braga, Sporting CP, Saudi Arabia and Venezuela National teams etc.

He was appointed to catch the super Eagles in 2021 December but the contract didn’t go through as the Nation’s sports Ministry wanted a local coach.

He is a clear favourite for the job as the Football Federation can meet up with his salaries and wages

Ernesto Valverde

3. Ernesto Valverde: Ernesto Valverde Tejedor is a Spanish football manager and former player who played as a forward. Over ten seasons, he amassed La Liga totals of 264 games and 68 goals, adding 55 matches and nine goals in Segunda División. Have coached Athletic Bilbao, Villarreal, Valencia and Espanyol, who he took to the UEFA Cup final in 2007, he also coached Barcelona football Club where he won two la liga trophy, he is currently without a job.

Laurent Blanc

4. Laurent Blanc: Laurent Robert Blanc is a French professional football manager and former player who played as a centre-back. He has the nickname Le Président, which was given to him following his stint at Marseille in tribute to his leadership skill.

He was coach of Bordeaux of France from 200 to 2010, French National Team 2010 to 2012, PSG 2013 TO 2016, Al-Rayyan SC 2020 to 2022.

He was part of the French Team that won the 1998 world cup, he won the UEFA European championship in 200 also with the French National team and he also won UEFA European U21 championship in 1988.

The only obstacle is the his wages, can the NFF afford his salaries and wages?

Toni conceicao

5. Toni conceicao: António Conceição da Silva Oliveira, known as Toni Conceição, is a Portuguese football manager and former player who played as a right back. His playing career was spent mostly in the Primeira Liga at Braga, as well as Vizela and one appearance for Porto. He earned a sole cap for Portugal in 1988.

Former coach of Cameroon National Team, he led the indomitable Lions to a third place finish in the just concluded Total African cup of Nations in Cameroon but was sacked by the FA led by Samuel Eto and was replaced by Song.

Have coached Braga, CFR Cluji and so many other teams.

In days to come the Nigeria football Federation will announce the new coach of the super Eagles and it is predicted that José Peseiro will likely be announced as the new coach.
