oO Sunday 15th day of May 2022 the Nigeria football Federation announced the appointment of José Peseiro as the coach of the senior national team the Super Eagles, this is the second time José will be appointed to coach the Eagles, first was in December before the African cup of Nations.
Who is José Peseiro?
José Peseiro: José Vítor dos Santos Peseiro is a Portuguese football manager and former player who played as a forward. After an unassuming career as a player, he went on to coach several clubs in his country, including Sporting CP – which he took to the 2005 UEFA Cup Final– and Porto, he also coached Al Ahly of Egypt, Assistant coach at Real Madrid, Sporting Braga, Sporting CP, Saudi Arabia and Venezuela National teams etc.
He was appointed to catch the super Eagles in 2021 December but the contract didn’t go through as the Nation’s sports Ministry wanted a local coach.
He is a clear favourite for the job as the Football Federation can meet up with his salaries and wages
