Congratulations Professor Eleazar Uche Ikonne on your well deserved victory as the People’s Democratic Party gubernatorial candidate for the 2023 election.
*I, Chief Amobi Ogah is particularly happy about your resounding victory at the gubernatorial party primary election because of the quality governance Abians will experience under you. I have known you as a man of integrity, a committed and passionate administrator who brings positive changes wherever he goes. I am certain that Abia under your watch will be tremendously faster in both infrastructural and human development.
*I am much more happy that my Local government will be top priority on your agenda because of your long service at the State University in uturu, our soil. You have before now cultivated a symbiotic partnership with Isuikwuato LGA and maintained personal relationships with our people for many years. Prof. you are an adopted son of Isuikwuato LGA and you are always welcomed to your second LGA.
*You have always been a patriotic Abian whose love for his state is unparalleled. I cannot forget how you fought for Abia State University to survive after the separation from Imo state University. I still clearly recall how you brought the Optometry department with equipment from Imo State University to Abia State University; that was a demonstration of how much you love your state.
*You have planned to create an alternative route to Abia State University which will invariably save the university from losing students population because of insecurity.
Our people and the University community will no-longer lose their lives plying the okigwe-ihube route. The alternative road coupled with the planned University town in Isuikwuato soil will spring up rapid urbanisation towards uturu and Isuikwuato axis.
- Your promise to make sure Isuikwuato LGA start enjoying the benefits of having a University in our Local Government is appreciated and we shall support you to enable that promise come true.
*I am hopeful of a more secure Isuikwuato LGA under your government because the security relationship committee you created while holding sway as the Vice-chancellor of Abia State University curbed crime drastically. You are a steady hand that understands practical problem solving and all these attributes and expectations make me to have the conviction that Abia and particularly Isuikwuato LGA under you will be better.
*I pledge my unalloyed support and promise to channel my grassroots energy towards making sure victory is achieved.
*I have no doubts that you will make an excellent Governor. You have done it in various critical sectors of the State, you will do it again.
