Our attention has been drawn to the news making round the social media over the unfortunate withdrawal of accreditation of Abia State Polytechnic, Aba by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE ). It is quite sad and nauseating that this ugly situation came up at such a time as this. This is highly condemnable and indeed a huge blow and loss to our dear State and the students of Abia Poly.
We therefore seize this medium to call for calmness from all quaters as the Student leaders are engaging the State Government on a possible panacea with earnest wish that the Government swiftly gets into action in promptitude and put a lasting remedy to this Academic menace to all our institutions of learning forthwith.
NAASS is calling on the student of Abia Poly and Abia students at large to postpone the proposed protest tomorrow while they give us this week to finish our engagement with the Government. Where our engagements prove abortive, we will definitely keep the Public abreast of our subsequent action plans.
