ABIA @31: SIR. ENWEREMADU SALUTES ABIANS, PAY GLOWING TRIBUTES TO THE FOUNDING FATHERS

The Hon. Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Rt. Hon. (Prince) Christopher Ogbonnaya Enweremadu has Congratulated the State Governor, Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, his Deputy, Sir. Ude Okochukwu ( Ph.D), the Speaker, Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji and indeed all Abians on the occasion of the 31 years of the creation of Abia State.

In a release made available to newsmen in Umuahia, Sir. Enwerenmadu recalled with nostalgia how the journey commenced thirty-One years ago, maintaining that a lot has changed, and used the occasion to pay glowing tributes to the founding fathers of the state who were not only visionary, but forthright, imaginative, creative and insightful.

He commended the Executive Governor of the state, Dr. Okezie Victor Chibuikem Ikpeazu, for embarking on the rebuilding processes of the state, adding that his administration has laid solid foundation for development to thrive, as he would be remembered for bequeathing Abians with enduring legacies in the areas of promotion of SMEs, Peace & Security, Road infrastructure, Promotion of Made in Aba products, Provisions of quality Health care etc, then thanked the Amiable wife of the Governor, Dr. Mrs Nkechi Ikpeazu for all her supportive roles which has brought lots of honor to the state, including the best performing First Lady in the country that was recently conferred on her.

On the future of Abia, Sir. Enwerenmadu was optimistic that the enthronement of next set of democratically Elected officials in the state will help consolidate and even fast track the development of the state and enjoined all Abians to see Prof. Uchenna Eleazar Ikonne and all other PDP candidates in the forthcoming general election as low hanging fruits that should not be missed, he concluded.
