…As Prince Nnanna Ukaegbu takes over as state chairman of APGA.
The new leadership of the All Progressive Grand Alliance in Abia state have suspended the immediate past state Chairman of the party Rev Augustine Ehiemere over embezzlement of Party funds to the tune of 56 million naira.
The announcement came after the new leadership of the party took over the party’s secretariat in umuahia yesterday, the new leadership of the Party went into an executive meeting of the Party which lasted for hours, According to ABN News Hon Ukaegbu took over the party secretariat at the early hours of Tuesday 30th of August 2022 after an appeal court Owerri who on the 7th of April 2022 confirmed Prince Nnanna Ukaegbu led executives as the authentic members of the state Working committee of APGA in Abia state.
Hon Ukaegbu also disclosed that the state executive committee have suspended four members of the party including the former state secretary ,Sunday Onukwubiri, former state legal adviser, Chukwuemeka Nwokoro,and one other official ,over alleged embezzlement of N56m belonging to the party and sundry offences which contravened the APGA constitution. He explained that Ehiemere has been sitting on the petition from APGA members over the alleged embezzlement.
