Governor of Kaduna state Nigeria, Mallam Nasiru El-Rufai bid to become the Secretary to the Government of the federation under the Administration Bola Ahmed Tinubu is gathering momentum as some APC Governors have started rallying support for him to emerge as the SGF after the inauguration of the new President.
According to the sources close to the President elect Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, he is considering appointing El-Rufai as the new SGF after considering the key role he played during the pre-primary era of the party.
It could be recalled that El-Rufai was among the forces from the Northern part of the country who insisted that power must return to the South, he also led from the front during the implementation of the new Naira note and the cash crunch in the Country, he spoke against the implementation and it impending consequences, he was also part of the Governors that approached the Supreme to Challenge the implementation of the new Naira note and the withdrawal of the old Naira Note.
