3. Don’t gossip about the boss to a colleague. Tides turn. Be careful with your words.
4. Experience matters. The 10,000 hour rule is not a myth. Practice it.
5. Think of the interview as an opportunity to get acquainted with your future employer. Don’t panic. Confidence gives you an edge, so be bold like a lion, but don’t be arrogant.
6. Know something that no other person does. Be unique. Be needed. Organizations pay for your value that is peculiar with you. If someone else can do it, you become irrelevant.
7. Leave work at the office, if possible. Very important.
8. No sexual relations with (close) colleagues. E get why. Don’t ever allow office romance, it usually ends badly.
9. Do more than is expected. And make sure the boss knows you did. It’s not pride, but try to blow your trumpet. If not, others will feast on your efforts and take the glory.
