The Senator representing Kogi West in the Senate, Senator Smart Adeyemi has vowed that no man born of a woman can stop him from contesting for Governor of Kogi State under the platform of the All Progressives Congress(APC).
Senator Adeyemi who was a guest on Channels TV program “Politics today” described Kogi as a state that needs help and that no man will stop him from running for the office of the Governor.
Senator Adeyemi who was responding to a question from the anchor, stated that he is qualified and that equity, justice and fairness favours his aspiration.
According to him, no man or woman from Kogi West has governed Kogi State for the past 30 years. In his words “Kogi can’t host an International conference because there is no International conference center in Kogi State, majority of those contesting for Governor are members of Gov Bello’s cabinet. I challenge them to an open debate on National Television let them tell me what they are going to do and I will ask them what they did already while in Government. We all are in Kogi and we know what is happening here. No man born of a woman can stop me from running for the office of the Governor. If I don’t get the ticket, I will still remain in APC but you can’t force me to market a bad candidate.
The Kogi State All Progressive Congress(APC) will this April, hold its guber primaries to elect who will fly the Party’s flag ahead of the November 11th Governorship election in the state.
Among other contenders for the APC ticket includes the incumbent Deputy Governor of the state Edward Onoja and the Chief of staff to Governor Bello.
