……. I am grateful to God for the victory at the polls.
The member elect for Umuahia East State constituency Hon. Austin Okezie Meregin, popularly known as Ugolee has refuted the news that he is at loggerhead with the Director General of Dr Alex Chioma Otti campaign organization Hon. Iheanacho Obioma, his brother Hon. Emeka Obioma and some other critical stakeholders of Ikwuano Umuahia federal constituency over the position of the deputy speaker for the incoming Abia 8th Assembly
Addressing newsmen in Umuahia this afternoon Hon. Austin Okezie Meregini Ugolee said “I don’t know where the news is coming from. I have not engaged any of our stakeholders at all. Hon. Acho Obioma is my respected elder brother. We have never discussed any issue concerning any principal position, so where they got the rumour is what I don’t know.” My major concern now is to offer quality representation to my people and therefore help the governor-elect Dr Alex Otti OFR to deliver the dividends of democracy to ndi Abia whose expectations are very high.
