Umuopara Agog, As Ugoeze Akudo Uluocha Celebrates 60th Birthday/ Retirement

It was a moment of glitz and glamour as the wife of the Traditional Ruler of Umuchime na Ofeiyi Autonomous Community, Ogbodiukwu, Umuopara in Umuahia South Local Government Area of Abia State, Ugoeze Akudo Adaeze Uluocha, celebrated her 60th birthday cum retirement from active service.

The event which was held at the Ogbodiukwu Community Secondary School field, was preceded by a church service held at the Ebenezer Methodist Church, Umuopara Circuit, Diocese of Umuahia West and attracted a host of notable personalities within and across Abia state.

The Head of the Uluocha’s dynasty and the Traditional Ruler of Umuchime na Ofeiyi Autonomous Community, HRH Eze Dr Obi Uluocha,alongside other family members, inlaws, friends and well wishers, thanked God for the life of Ugoeze Uluocha and her successful retirement from service.

Ugoeze Uluocha who retired from the Abia State Specialist and Diagnostic Centre, pegged her meritorious service and 60th year on earth to the grace of God.

In an interview with journalists, Ugoeze Akudo Adaeze Uluocha, expressed gratitude to God for sparing her life for the past sixty years on earth and most importantly, keeping her in sound health, recounting that it is almost impossible today, to see a 60 years old person without one form of sickness or the other, adding that in her case, she is still stronger, more beautiful and healthier.

Sharing her experiences while in the service, Ugoeze Akudo Adaeze Uluocha, again, gave thanks to God for giving her the needed wisdom to sail through her career, stressing that there were challenges on the way, but God’s mercy and grace were sufficient for her.

She recounted her numerous achievements in the service, maintaining that these successes prompted her family to come together to organize a special Birthday/Retirement party to appreciate God for His faithfulness.

Interacting with the husband of the celebrant, Eze Obi Uluocha, the Oparaukwu na Ogbodi, he appreciated all those who came to celebrate with his family, describing the wife’s birthday/retirement party, as a memorable one, that put smiles on him.

According to him, the wife has been loving and special with her ever radiating beauty, praying God to grant her more sickness free life here on earth, while asking for the mercies of God so that their marriage would keep blossoming.

Also, the Traditional Prime Minister of Umuopara and the younger brother of Eze Uluocha, Chief Acho Uluocha, popularly known as Hawks, congratulated Ugoeze Uluocha and prayed for the grace of God to keep sustaining her and the family.

In their separate speeches, the APGA candidate for Umuahia South State Constituency in the just concluded Abia House of Assembly Election, Super High Chief Emmanuel Egwu, the President General of Amachara, Pst Amara Sweet Uchendu and the Cousin to the celebrant, Mr Obi Nwagbara, congratulated Ugoeze Uluocha for the milestone achievement, describing her as a good ambassador, having retired successfully from active service, stressing that her life remains worthy of emulation.

According to them, she has touched lives positively, praying God to keep upholding her in sound health, as well as, make her to continously enjoy peace and harmony in her marriage.

For Princess Ihuoma Chukwuma Orji, who spoke on behalf of her siblings, thanked God for Ugoeze Uluocha, who she said has been a wonderful mother to them.

She expressed joy and gratitude to God for sparing her life, stating that many women of her age are down with one ailment or the other, but her mother still exacts strength and radiates beauty, praying God to spare her life to see her great great grand children.

Highpoint of the event was special displays by musical groups, cultural displays, among others and guests were treated to sumptuous meals and expensive drinks.
