Member Elect For Umuahia East State constituency Hon. Austin Okezie Meregini (Ugolee) yesterday Celebrated with Catholic Women Organisation (CWO) of St. St Ann’s catholic parish Ahiaeke Ndume on the Occasion of 2023 Mothering Sunday celebration.
Speaking at the event Hon. Austin Okezie Nmeregini used the occasion to thank the Catholic women for their unflinching support to Dr. Alex Chioma Otti and the labour party family during the 2023 general election which provided the platform for victory of the party at the just concluded general election.
He Reminded the women of their positive role in our families and society at large, and the need to promote positive virtues all the time.
He emphasized on the need for family values to be reintroduced into the daily devotion in families.
Also speaking,Dr. Grace Okaro who is the CWO President charged the women to be up and doing in their roles in the family. She reteriated that the occasion of mother’s day celebration should not be just an event but rather should translate to positive transformation in homes.
Rev. Father Elias Ibedu who gave the homily reminded the mothers to be role models in their homes and society.
The occasion attracted the presence of other distinguised guest.
