Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has been cleared by Florida lawmakers to run for President without being forced to resign as governor. It’s expected that DeSantis will announce his run early next month (it could be within a week or two).

Ron DeSantis, in my opinion, is just another Donald Trump when it comes to policies and politics. I believe both men go too far with their fear-mongering tactics, and take actions that border on pseudo-fascism. I believe that DeSantis will try and remain fairly close to Trump ideologically and he’ll hope that Trump faces more indictments before the primary season kicks off. I think DeSantis has a chance of closing the gap if more indictments come down on Trump.
What are you thoughts on the two men? Would you prefer one over the other if you had to choose? Do you think DeSantis has a shot at defeating Trump in the primaries?
