Information reaching our News desk have it that the Governor of Abia state Dr Alex Otti is in a closed door meeting with the 24 members elect of the 8th Abia state house of Assembly at his Umuehim Country home, the meeting which started about 1 hour ago is to agree on the position of the speaker and deputy speaker of the House of Assembly.
According to sources in umuehim Nvosi the battle for the speakership has been reduced to three horse race will between Emmanuel Emereuwa of Aba South,Destiny Akaraka of Aba North, Solomon Akpulonu of Obingwa East leading the charge.
The Atmosphere is still high in the state Assembly, as different cultural groups have arrived the state Assembly complex in support of their various representatives.
