Speaker of the 9th House of Representatives Hon Femi Gbajabiamila is set to resign his membership of the House of Representatives.
Gbajabiamila who represents Surulere 1 federal constituency will be assuming his position as the Chief of staff to the president of the federal republic of Nigeria Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
He is expected to announce his resignation during plenary and also communicate to INEC and APC.
Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives Abaas Tajudeen is expected to declare his seat vacant.
The independent national Electoral Commission INEC is expected to conduct a fresh election for his replacement.
Gbajabiamila will be assuming his new role as chief of Dr to the President.
