Speaker of the 6th Abia state House of Assembly and former member Representing Isiala Ngwa South state Constituency Rt Hon Chikwendu Kalu has described the 7th Abia state House of Assembly led by Rt Hon Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji as a jamboree.
Rt Hon Kalu who spoke during the 8th House of Assembly Inauguration Reception of his successor and Member Representing Isiala Ngwa South State Constituency Hon Dennis Rowland Chinwendu, which held at Umuagu Omoba in Isiala Ngwa south described the 7th Abia Assembly as a jamboree and urged the Speaker of the 8th Assembly Rt Hon Emmanuel Emereuwa to take a cue from the activities of the 5th and 6th Abia state House of Assembly.
While addressing the speaker of the 8th Assembly He said” Some state Constituencies are bigger than each other, bring up motions, craft Resolutions and let everyone know that is not good, if you push it to the federal, and they start the amendment, you people have gotten it they know what to do, Remove your eyes from the 7th Assembly it was a jamboree, if you look at 5th House and 6th House, you will understand what I am telling you”.
It could be recalled that the 7th Abia state House of Assembly rounded up it’s tenure with two factions, one faction led by Rt Hon Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji with Rt Hon Mandela Obasi as Deputy speaker, why the other faction was led by Rt Hon Chukwudi Apugo as Speaker and Rt Hin Ifeanyi Uchendu as Deputy Sepaker.
