Former Governor of Rivers state and Nigeria’s Ministerial designate Nyesom Wike, former Governors of Abia Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, Benue, Samuel Ortom and their Enugu counterpart Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi are absent as the National Working committee of the PDP are currently meeting with Governors elected under the platform of the Party and Stakeholders of the Party.
Also absent is the Governor of Oyo state Seyi Makinde, his Rivers state counterpart Sim Fubara, also absent is plateau state Caleb Mutfwang.
The crisis rocking the nation’s leading opposition party, the PDP, continues with the nomination of former Rivers state Governor Nyesom Wike as a minister nominee by President Buhari.
According to sources, the faction of the party loyal to former vice President Atiku Abubakar is fine-tuning its plan to suspend Wike.
Present in the meeting are Former Vice President and Presidential candidate of PDP in the 2023 Presidential election Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Bauchi state Governor Senator Bala Mohammed, his Bayelsa state counterpart Douye Diri, Osun state counterpart Ademola Adeleke, Edo state Governor Godwin Obaseki, National Secretary and Governorship candidate of PDp in Imo state Samuel Anyanwu, Acting National Chairman of the Party and many others stakeholders.
