There are strong indications that former Rivers state Governor and Minister for FCT Nyesom Wike, Rivers state Governor Sim Fubara and other stakeholders of PDP in Rivers State will be joining APC soon.
According to the National Chairman of APC, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, who boasted that the party is set to take over Rivers State from the PDP.
He said “We have now come to the end of the problem in APC Rivers State, as the three major blocks have now come to work together to build the APC that we know in Rivers State, The first of the three blocks are the APC members who have been there despite all that happened. The second is the group of those who broke away from APC for one reason or the other and have decided to come back to the fold. That block is strong and that shows hope, and the third block is the block coming from the PDP. This is from the wind that we have seen so far.”
According to our sources, the three factions are, Senator Magnus Abe faction, the Rotimi Amaechi faction and the PDP group which will be led by the FCT Minister, which may likely include the Governor of Rivers State. Sim Fubara.
The FCT Minister last week denied any plan of joining APC and also affirmed his membership of the PDP, According to him, he is still a committed member of the PDP and has no plan to join APC.
