During the 2015 General Election, Hon Emeka Nnamani who is currently representing Aba North and South Federal Constituency,,was declared winner and subsequently sworn in as the member representing Aba North State Constituency at the Abia State defeating the PDP candidate then Hon. Blessing Nwagba.
However, Hon Blessing approached the Election Petition Tribunal seeking to be declared winner on the grounds that Hon Emeka Nnamani presented a forged Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Portharcourt, the Tribunal and the Appeal Court agreed with her submission and disqualified Hon Emeka Nnamani.
Now in 2023, Hon Emeka Nnamani did not even file that controversial certificate to INEC, but her opponents simply tendered the Judgement of the Court of Appeal before the Tribunal,which was the ground of his disqualification.
If the Appeal Court validates the Judgement of the Tribunal, then this is history repeating itself on the negative.
