… Describe the Ruling as a Temporary setback.
The Member Representing Aba North & South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon Emeka Nnamani has broken silence over the tribunal Judgment on Monday which nullified his election.
Hon Nnamani while addressing a press conference at his office in Aba described the tribunal Judgment as a temporary setback but will definitely be over.
On the issue of alleged certificate forgery and Court banning him from contesting future elections, he said” There was no court Judgment banning me “Emeka Nnamani” from contesting any election for Ten years, that’s a fallacy without root. It has been erroneously used by the opposition for years now to see how they can hang my political fortune in the balance and wholly pull us back”.
He urged his supporters and the entire good and hardworking people of Aba to remain calm, peacefully and go about their normal duties as he consults his legal Team to know the way forward, in his words,” the mandate you gave to us is intact, and we will not take it for granted, I remain your Rep member until we exhaust all Legal means recognized by the law, this is a temporary setback will not stop us as we put your interest and well-being before the Government at the center, we are consulting our legal team and will definitely do what is necessary to make sure that we will continue to serve you to the best of our abilities, we call for calm as we have trust in our Judiciary System to do the right thing.
The Nation Assembly Election Petition Tribunal sitting in umuahia , the Abia state capital, had earlier in the week nullified the election of Hon Emeka Nnamani as the member Representing Aba North & South Federal Constituency.
