The director media and publicity, Uche ndi Abia campaign organization chief Uche Aguoru, has described the the Peoples Democratic Party, governorship candidate Professor Uche Ikonne, as the most favoured to win the 2023 governorship election in Abia state.
Aguoru, who aired his views in Umuahia the state capital, said Ikonne stands tall among other candidates jostling for the coveted seat in preparedness, competency and many other qualities that has endeared him to Abia people.
He boasted that Ikonne will change the narrative in the governance of the state in terms of infrastructure, economy, education, industry and the small and medium scale enterprises.
He said, “From May 29, 2023 when Ikonne will be sworn in into power, it will be development all the way. Our action plans are ready.
“Our candidate is widely accepted by the people, where ever we went to for consultation it has always been like a canival and a celebration, because people are so elated to see a man of this status coming to govern Abia.
“This is the first time we are getting close to developing Abia beyond what we have today. Abians are happy because a man who has been proven to have the capacity to change the tide of development is coming on board.
“Go and do a check in all the states, all the people who are campaigning to be governors including in Abia here non of them has been wise enough to think about the people. But professor Ikonne is coming with what he called “participatory governance”, which means you and me, your wife and children will have a say in how they are going to be governed, you can go home and say this is our need from your individual communities and the government will take up those needs to solve a problem for the community.
“Abia will not change from it’s present location to another place but we are going to stay here
and develop the Abia we have inherited and make it the envy of other states and every Abia indigene will proud of the state”.
