Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has expressed his readiness to implement a ₦70,000 minimum wage for civil servants in the state.

This announcement was made by the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Sule on Public Affairs, Comrade Peter Ahemba, during a media chat with the Correspondents’ Chapel. Ahemba revealed that Governor Sule has already approved the payment of the new minimum wage, which is set to commence shortly.

“Governor Abdullahi Sule is more than ready to pay the ₦70,000 minimum wage passed into law and assented to by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. His Excellency, Engineer Sule, is committed to workers’ welfare and the overall development of the state,” Ahemba stated.
