During the burial of Herbert Wigwe, Governor Fubara and Senate President, Godswill Akpabio went head to head, theDrama started when the Governor of Rivers state Sin Fubara was invited to speak, in his speech he questioned what all the struggles and the killings are for, he questioned why the political struggle, fight and kill just for power.
In his response the Senate President Godswill Akpabio while addressing the congregation said “ what is the struggle about? In 2006 I wanted to be Deputy Governor. The then deputy Governor invited me to his office and told me that the office has no money, there is nothing in it and I don’t know why you still insist on removing me from here and taking over”.
He continued “ A woman who element with me said your Excellency since there is no money don’t wait for impeachment resign since there is nothing in it, he stood up and started punching the woman and I told him your Excellency don’t punch her she is saying the truth since there is nothing in the office resign I want it because you are to big for it, Governor Fubara if there is nothing in it don’t struggle for it.”
Late Wigwe, wife Chizoba and son chizi was buried in his hometown in Isiokpo in Ikwere Local Government area of Rivers state.
