The Crisis Rocking the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in ward 8 Ovungwu in Isiala Ngwa south LGA of the party took a new twist as the ward Executives of the party suspended former Deputy Chairman of the council Hon. Chimereze Nwankwo.
In a release signed by the ward chairman and some members of the ward executives, the former Deputy Chairman was accused of insubordination and anti-party activities.
He was suspended alongside a one-time aide to the former speaker of the 6th Abia state House of Assembly Hon Esinwoke Mark, others are Hon Obinna Gema,Hon Ndubuisi Ukah, Hon Chigozie Iwuoha, Hon Philip Nwankpa.
Hon Chimereze Nwankwo served as Deputy chairman Isiala Ngwa south LGA from 2020 to 2022 and later served as Deputy TC chairman of the council in 2023 under the Ikpeazu led Administration.
