The Federal Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) of the Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Centre (NPF-NCCC) has launched an investigation into multiple complaints against BLORD GROUP, BLORD REAL ESTATE LTD, BLORD JETPAYE LIMITED, and BILLPOINT TECHNOLOGY. The allegations include cryptocurrency fraud, aiding internet fraud, computer-related fraud, terrorism funding, and non-compliance with regulatory frameworks.
Assistant Commissioner of Police, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Force Public Relations Officer, stated, “We will do due diligence in our investigations. Our cyber space in Nigeria must be safe and secured by all means. We are committed to achieving that.”
The FCID’s probe underscores the ongoing efforts by Nigerian authorities to address and mitigate cybercrime and ensure compliance with financial regulations within the country.
