Full Statement.

Dannie Ubani, Firstly, it’s derogatory and insulting to address the man effectively and credibly representing you at the Abia State House of Assembly as a “Boy”.
The good people of Isiala Ngwa South State Constituency unanimously gave him the mandate to represent them and rejected you, and for this fact, You should address him as ‘Honourable’ and not a Boy.

You contested and totally lost the state assembly seat as the people of Isiala Ngwa South in general rejected you and overwhelmingly elected Hon. Hon Dennis Rowland Chinwendu to represent them.
And so far, He has given quality representation which you can attest to.

Sir, If you have forgotten, Let me remind you that Hon. Dennis has achieved the following within the short time he has been in office;

1. ROAD INFRASTRUCTURE; To ensure accessible roads for our people, In December 2023, I embarked on rural road gradings in various villages in Isiala Ngwa South LGA.

2. WIDOWS/LESS PRIVILEGED INITIATIVE; I started this initiative in the year 2018. This is a program aimed at helping the poor and the needy with food items and support. Last year’s edition was indeed huge and memorable as we shared over 300 bags of rice and other food items, including cash donations to help our people.

3. EDUCATIONAL SECTOR; In line with my Legislative Agenda, I made a promise of giving utmost priority to the education of our children, in January, 2024 when it was time for students to go back to school , I disbursed Bursary awards to tertiary students of Isiala Ngwa South origin, registered WAEC and JAMB for our students, which is an initiative geared towards ensuring that no child is out of school.

4. AGRICULTURAL SECTOR; On may 13th,. 2024 I kept to my manifesto of improving agricultural sector and supporting farmers in Isiala Ngwa South LGA, as I shared more than 600 bags of fertilizers to our farmers. I have been doing this even before assumption of office, as this was the 6th edition of my free distribution of fertilizers and other farm inputs to farmers in Isiala Ngwa South LGA

This gesture is to support and encourage farmers to enhance food production and food security to ultimately reduce food scarcity, hunger and poverty among our people which is in line with my legislative agenda.

5. SPORTING SECTOR; This sector is not left out as we have inaugrated Ugwumba Sports Board which will oversee all sporting activities in our constituency.

6. HEALTH SECTOR; Last year December and early this year, I visited some hospitals in Isiala Ngwa South, Ronald’s Hospital Umuikaa, Theresa’s Maternity and Hospital, Umuawa, Africare Nkwo Udara, where i paid off the bills of some patients in the hospital.

7. MOTIONS; In my one year in office, I have moved different motions which will not only be beneficial to Isiala Ngwa South Constituency but to the State at large. These motions include but not limited to;

* Motion for the Abia State Government to include Isiala Ngwa South State Constituency as one of the beneficiary of the recent loan accessed by the state from African Development Bank.

* Motion for Abia State Health Insurance to live up to it’s responsibilities.

* Motion on the need for the state government to provide standard healthcare facilities in Isiala Ngwa South State Constituency.

*Motion on the need for the Abia State Government to revitalize the moribund industries in Abia.

I will continue with my legislative engagements to ensure that these motion are given adequate considerations.

8. OVERSIGHT FUNCTION; As the house committee chairman on Agriculture, On 3rd May, 2024, I led the House Committee on Agriculture to an on spot assessment and oversight function at Abia Palm Plantation, Ukwa East LGA, where I emphasized on the critical importance of the Abia Palm Plantation to the economic development of our state and assured the good people of Ukwa East LGA of the state government’s readiness to ensure that all the necessary mechanisms for effective running of the plantation.

9. APPOINTMENT OF AIDES; Also under review within the year, I appointed 20 Aides across the 10 wards of Isiala Ngwa South LGA, which is part of my team that will help to ensure quality representation for Ndi Isiala Ngwa South.

10. SPECIAL EMPOWERMENTS; There are several pupils and students under my scholarship scheme, who are receiving special attention from my office.

Also, as part of mobility enhancement, I donated a Toyota Camry Car to Mr Ifeanyi Ekpendu (Egbelu) the Youth Leader of Omoba, which is my token of giving back to the society and a show of love for loyalty and commitment.

We are not resting, as we are starting our ONE WARD, ONE PROJECT. This initiative is aimed at having a developmental project in each ward in Isiala Ngwa South and giving back to the society.

This initiative has started in OVUNGWU WARD 08 and EHI NA UGURU-OSOKWA WARD 05 as the building of NKWO UDARA UMUAPU daily market and AHIA AFO AMAIYI NVOSI market are ongoing. Other wards/political block should patiently wait, as my team will soon initiate a project in those ward.

Ndi Isiala Ngwa South should expect more as Hon Dennis will continue to give them quality and effective representation.

Hon. Dennis has always defeated you, He defeated you in the primaries, defeated you in elections proper, defeated you in High and Appeal courts. Come 2027, He will defeat you again.
