After Rumored sack Abia state Commissioner for Agriculture Prof Monica Ironkwe and his Science and Technology counterpart Chima Oriaku have resigned their Appointment as commissioners respectively.
In a release signed by the chief Press Secretary to Governor Otti, Ukoha Njoku Ukoha no reason was given for their resignation.
It was rumored that the two commissioners were sacked from the state Executive Council.

Resignation of 2 Commissioners From The Cabinet of Abia State Government.
The following Cabinet Members of Abia State Government have tendered their resignation letters to the Executive Governor of Abia State, His Excellency, Dr. Alex Otti. They are:
1. Mr. Chima Oriaku – Commissioner for Science and Technology.
2. Prof. Monica Ironkwe – Commissioner for Agriculture
