Edo State Deputy Governor Rt. Hon. Comrade Philip Shaibu has announced the appointment of eight officials to assist in carrying out his duties as the state’s deputy governor.
In a statement issued on Friday by his Chief Press Secretary, Comrade Musa Ebomhiana, Shaibu appointed nine individuals to key positions as Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants.
The appointments include:
– Hon. Kingsley Ehigiamusor as Chief of Staff,
– Comrade Musa Ebomhiana as Chief Press Secretary,
– Hon. Emmanuel Akhaba, Mustapha Lawal, and Mr. Charles Olubayo as Senior Special Assistants.
Additionally, Mathias Akhanemhe, Comrade Robinson Akhenoba, Robert Ojele, and Isioma Ogochukwu were appointed as Special Assistants.
According to the statement, these appointments are effective immediately.
Shaibu’s reinstatement follows a ruling by Justice James Omotosho of the Federal High Court in Abuja on Wednesday, overturning his unlawful impeachment by the state assembly in April 2024.
