An APC Chieftain, Lady BLESSING Uwaoma Nwokonneya (Odiuko N’Mba) has expressed rude shock following the death of Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwụ, who before his death was the President General of Ọhaneze Ndị Igbo Worldwide.
In a condolence message made available to news men in Abuja on Friday, 26th, July, Lady Nwokonneya described his demise as a collosal loss to the Igbo race and Nigeria at large, maintaining that he died at a time his wealth of experience, fatherly advice, support and sharp intellect was needed most.
She recounted her many rapour with the foremost politician and industrialist in the areas of politics, business and industry, and noted with sadness that his death has left huge vacuum that will be too difficult to fill.
In her words, “This is one death too many. What a big blow. Chief will be greatly missed. He was an avowed lover of Igbo Nation, a Pan Nigerian, very versatile, humane, honest and out spoken”.
The former APC flag bearer for Isiala Ngwa North and South Federal constituency subsequently extended her heart felt condolences to his family, the Government and people of Imo State, and the Ọhaneze Ndị Igbo in particular, and prayed God to grant them the fortitude to bear the irreparable, irreversible and unbearable loss.
It will be Recalled that Chief Iwuanyanwụ was before now, very vocal with issues concerning the welfare of the Igbo Nation, hence On 20th April 2023, he was announced as the President-General of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo worldwide. This was according to the “doctrine of necessity”, which took effect when the National Executive Council of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo directed the people of Imo State to find a credible replacement for the past President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, who died in December 2022.
