The Special Assistant to the Governor on Special Duties, Mrs Matilda Anyamele has encouraged women to prioritize education and skill acquisition as pathways to unlocking economic opportunities and achieving self-reliance.

Speaking at the Women’s August Meeting held in Obikabia Amato, in Isiala Ngwa North LGA, Mrs. Anyamele emphasized that by empowering themselves, women not only elevate their families but also contribute significantly to the state’s overall development.

The Special Assistant to the Governor on Special Duties while describing women as the backbone of society, highlighted the vital role women play in shaping a prosperous future.

She assured that the administration of Governor Alex Otti in the state is deeply committed to addressing issues affecting women, including gender-based violence and discrimination, through the enforcement of policies that protect women’s rights and promote equal opportunities across all sectors.

Mrs Anyamele urged women to dedicate themselves to creating lasting impacts, paving the way for future generations, and using their skills and influence for broader societal benefits as well as encouraged them to embrace collaboration, mentoring, and driving initiatives that foster equity and growth.
