The Abia State PDP 2023 governorship candidate, Chief Okey Ahiwe has showered encomiums on the former First Lady of Abia State, Deaconess (Mrs) Nkechi Caroline Ikpeazu, PhD, on the occasion of her birthday today.

Chief Ahiwe who described Dr. Nkechi Ikpeazu as a quintessential role model in many respects, extolled her for being consistently committed to the pursuit of humanitarian objectives, especially the welfare of vulnerable women and people with disabilities.

According to him, “Dr. Nkechi Ikpeazu has established indelible humanitarian footprints on the merit of her relentless pursuit of the welfare of vulnerable persons in society. The iconic memory of her roles as First Lady of Abia State is that of boundless motherhood, expressed remarkably with incredible humility, accessibility and uncompromising battle against gender-based abuse of all forms. For her, the Office of the First Lady was not a cocoon for vainglorious indulgence, but essentially an instrument for the extension of the frontiers of human liberty. At the individual level and through her NGO, the Vicar Hope Foundation, she has remained religiously committed to upholding the values that earned her universal recognition as a quintessential role model, and largely defined her enviable place in history.”

Chief Ahiwe, while wishing Dr. Nkechi Ikpeazu a very memorable birthday celebration, prayed that God would continue to bless her and strengthen her for greater service to humanity.
