Operatives of the Imo State Police Command have successfully dismantled a suspected kidnapping and organ trafficking syndicate operating in the Douglass area. During the operation, a 38-year-old suspect, Justine Emmanuel, from Amimo in Ikeduru Local Government Area, was apprehended, and a 19-year-old female victim was rescued.

The arrest followed a swift response from police officers on visibility patrol who noticed suspicious activity involving a blue and white bus. The officers observed the syndicate forcefully abducting the young woman and immediately intervened. Investigations reveal that the kidnappers were attempting to take the victim to an undisclosed location, intending to kill her and harvest her organs for monetary gain.

The Imo State Police Command has assured the public that further investigations are ongoing, and efforts are being intensified to bring other members of the syndicate to justice.
