QUALIFICATIONS

Assistant Lecturer
A good Honours Degree, plus Masters in the relevant discipline.

Lecturer II
Ph.D in the relevant discipline or Masters with a minimum of two (2) years cognate experience;
Emerging evidence of scholarship by way of publications.

Lecturer I
Masters Degree in the relevant discipline, with a minimum of five (5) years cognate experience
Ph.D in the relevant discipline, with a minimum of two (2) years experience in Lecturer II position ;
Scholarly Publications in reputable Journals.

Senior Lecturer
Ph.D in the relevant discipline and must have spent a minimum of two (2) years as a Lecturer I;
Scholarly Publications in reputable Journals.

Reader
Ph.D in the relevant discipline and must have been a Senior Lecturer for not less than two (2) years;
Scholarly Publications in reputable Journals

Professor
Ph.D in the relevant discipline and must have been a Reader for not less than two (2) years;
Scholarly Publications in reputable Journals

Librarians
A good Honours Degree in Library Science;
A Higher Degree will be an advantage.

Cataloguers
A good Honours Degree in Library Science, with specialization in Cataloguing;
A higher Degree will be an advantage.
