…..Allow for Reconciliation Efforts

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has officially postponed its 99th National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting, originally scheduled for May 27, 2025.

According to a statement released by the National Secretary, Senator Samuel N. Anyanwu, the postponement is to allow the Senator Bukola Saraki-led Reconciliation Committee to conclude its assignment aimed at resolving internal party conflicts. The party emphasized that the committee’s work is crucial to ensuring a peaceful and effective NEC meeting.

A new date for the meeting will be announced in line with the PDP Constitution (2017 as amended) and the Electoral Act, 2022.

The statement also warned that any NEC meeting notice or publication issued by the Deputy National Secretary posing as the Acting National Secretary is unauthorized, illegal, and should be disregarded.

The party expressed regret over any inconvenience the change may cause and reassured stakeholders of its commitment to unity and progress.
