Any Meeting Convened without a Notice signed by the National Secretary of the Party is Null and Void – Concerned PDP Stakeholders

The Wike-led Concerned Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Stakeholders has reaffirmed Senator Samuel Anyanwu as the duly elected National Secretary of the party.

Rising from a strategic meeting held in Abuja, the stakeholders issued a communiqué emphasizing the need for the party to respect the judgment of the Supreme Court, which upheld Senator Anyanwu’s position as National Secretary.

The forum stated unequivocally that any meeting convened by the party without a notice issued or signed by Senator Anyanwu is null and void, in line with the provisions of the PDP Constitution.

The communiqué read in part:

“Senator Samuel Anyanwu remains the National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party. All meetings convened without his authorisation contravene the PDP Constitution and are therefore invalid.”

It could be recalled that the South East Leadership of the party presented Hon Udo Okoye as it’s preferred candidate for the position of the National Secretary of the Party.

The supreme in it ruling earlier this year affairmed the position of Senator Samuel Anyanwu as the National Secretary of the Party.

The crisis rocking the leading opposition party in the country continues.
