It’s exactly two years since Chief Collins Ugochukwu Iheonunekwu assumed office as the Member Representing the good people of Isiala Ngwa North State Constituency in The Abia State House of Assembly.
Though to a pessimist, the cup is half empty. But to an optimist, the cup is indeed half full.
Evidence they say is the loudest voice, which explains why Ochake has through his Social media handle displayed some of his modest achievements within the period under review, because facts and data they say are the most persuasive and impactful form of communication.
In a fair minded assessment, Ochake may not have gotten it right all around, but the good news about his scorecard is that he’s on the right track, having shown determination, tact and tenacity within the twenty four months he has been on the saddle, despite representing from a disadvantaged position as an opposition member.
Suffice it to say that Ochake has in the last two years, in a deliberate, intentional and conscious attempt touched virtually every family in Isiala Ngwa North through his numerous intervention programmes.
On the floor of the house, he has been a strong voice, with several motions to his kitty, while he has cosponsored over three major bills that are at various stages of legislation.
With his recent defection to the ruling Labour party in the State, he is now in a vantage position to further magnify his office, and add greater value to members of his constituency, majorly through the attraction of infrastructural needs of his constituents.
As we enter into the second lap leading to the end of his first term in office, the Ihie–Ngwa Ukwu born vibrant and eloquent lawmaker will not only be consolidating on the achievements of his last two years, but has promised to open up new frontiers of Legislation, representation and oversight to the good and hardworking people of Isiala Ngwa North, justifying the mandate the electorates freely and wholly gave him in 2023.
