Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has declared that his administration is not afraid to align with the All Progressives Congress (APC), as the move is motivated by a longstanding desire to actualize the Ibom Deep Seaport project.
Speaking during his grand reception into the APC at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo, Governor Eno said the people of the state have waited over three decades for the realization of the seaport.
“We are not afraid to join the APC, for we know that with the APC, we will realize our Deep Seaport. That is our plea. For over 30 years, we have struggled to have a Deep Seaport. Today, we are assured that the Federal Government will reciprocate by helping us realize our Ibom Deep Seaport,” he stated.
The event was attended by party leaders, stakeholders, and supporters from across the state.
