Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri, has directed all security agencies to intensify efforts in rescuing the abducted judge, Justice E.G. Omukoro, who was abducted at Kilimanjaro eateries opposite Ekeki Motor Park in Yenagoa.
The Governor emphasized the need to bring the perpetrators to justice and called for public cooperation in ongoing rescue operations.
In a related development, the Bayelsa State Commissioner of Police, CP Francis Idu Alonyenu, revealed that the command is collaborating with other security agencies while analyzing surveillance footage and crime mapping data to aid the investigation.
He assured residents that the incident should not damage the trust between the public and security forces, noting that the strong backing from the state government and citizens has boosted their resolve to rescue the abducted judge unharmed.
The Commissioner appealed to the public to refrain from obstructing the rescue mission and urged for continued support to ensure a successful outcome.
