President Bola Ahmed Tinubu shared a touching moment during the launch of tractors and other equipment for the Federal Government’s Agricultural Mechanization Programme, revealing that one of the key attendees, Alex, was his former schoolmate from Chicago.
“To all of you, Alex was my very good neighbor, and went to the same school with me in Chicago. Never did we dream that I would be in this position as President of Nigeria and Alex a successful businessman from Belarus,” Tinubu remarked, drawing applause from the audience.
The event highlighted not only the government’s commitment to advancing agriculture but also personal stories of longstanding relationships crossing national boundaries.
